Emirates Airlines to Hire
  • May 26, 2025

Dubai, 1 May 2025 —The Emirates Airline has declared its grand plan for expansion of pilot numbers to hire over 1,500 aviators in two years, with over 550 expected appointments in 2025. This declaration was made on World Pilots’ Day, further emphasizing the airline's determination for future growth while appreciating the contribution made by the existing ones.

Currently, Emirates employs about 4,600 pilots and is actively recruiting across four main categories: Direct Entry Captains, Accelerated Command First Officers, Type Rated First Officers, and Non-Type Rated First Officers. The recruitment would, in turn, augment the increasing global operations, fleet development, and network plans flying by the Emirates

At the very heart of this recruitment program is the Accelerated Command Programme, allowing First Officers to transition quickly into Captain positions. There are already more than 80 pilots participating in this program to meet the increasing demand for experienced commanders on long-haul as well as high-frequency sectors.

Emirates currently operates a fleet of 261 Airbus A380, Boeing 777, and newly arrived Airbus A350 widebodies serving 148 destinations across six continents, a number that will only grow as more aircraft are brought into the fold and as new routes are opened. With this configuration, the carrier would be aggressively pursuing the recruitment of top aviation talent worldwide.

Dubai Lifestyle as the Bonus for Pilots

Further, it's still about Dubai that Emirates wants to market as an exclusive hub for aviators, where the tax-free salaries, profit-sharing, and travel benefits for families would be shared. Tenants will acquire housing in gated communities; children will go to schools of international standing, and wellness benefits-beyond those afforded through the exclusive Platinum Card membership and leisure clubs-are also available.

Other services include 42 days of annual leave, flexible roster swaps, and chauffeured transport services. The pilot community at Emirates is truly global, representing 112 different nationalities.

International Roadshows to Support Global Talent Acquisition

Proclaiming a worldwide recruitment effort, Emirates will be hosting roadshows across over 40 cities in 2025. Following the success of campaigns recently held in Italy, the airline continues its Europe tour with events taking place in Norway, Finland, and Sweden in May.

With the growth of the Emirates fleet and network, the need for skilled aviation employees has become all the more pressing-this renders the airline as one of the best choices for pilots wanting to have a challenging career with one of the leading carriers worldwide.
